How to Start
1. Go to
"messages" on your phone
2. Compose a text message with chosen keyword, e.g. "chat"
3. Send this message to the advertised 5-digit short code, e.g. 26969
You will
immediately receive a confirmation message describing the service details,
including pricing on a per-exchange basis (i.e. the cost is for each message
you get back from your chatting partner), where to get help, and how to
terminate the service.
Reply with the
word "yes" or letter "Y" to the confirmation message to
immediately begin chatting with someone. There are always dozens of chatters
available. Who you get to chat with depends on which keyword and 5-digit short
code you used

To stop the session send "STOP" to shortcode 26969

For help or instructions, reply with the word
"Help" on your phone browser.
Available Networks
The service is
available on the AT&T, VerizonWireless, T-Mobile, Nextel, Alltel and
Sprint networks. Other networks may be added shortly.
How to Cancel Service
Send an email to support@zipit.com. Indicate that your would like to cancel and include your mobile number.
To cancel via your phone, send STOP to 26969 in order to opt-out.
